Commissioning Sales Person

Tremendous opportunity to write your own ticket!  As a fast-paced professional organization and market leader in building commissioning services, we are looking for game changers.  Dome-Tech seeks a competitive, experienced outside sales professional to join our successful, commercial/ industrial commissioning team.  This sales professional will see our service to architects, HVAC engineers, construction managers and general contractors in NJ, NY, CT, PA, MD and DE regions.  Ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in HVAC construction sales and demonstrated double-digit sales growth.  He/she has earned and expects to earn a minimum of $100k consistently with a realistic goal of over $150k per year via a 50/50 pay structured (50% salary plus 50% commission).  A person possessing existing relationships with major construction managers, general contractors, engineering firms and architects in the tri-state area would be an ideal candidate.

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain at a minimum $2,000,000 in opportunity pipeline
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while practicing account management with existing customers
  • Understand the importance of upfront qualifying
  • Close deals on a monthly basis
  • Identify and present to the "C" and "D" level decision makers
  • Keep commitments made to clients, prospects and teammates
  • See additional Dome-Tech Group services
  • Be in front of customers 80% of the time (this is an outside sales position)
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Prioritize responsibilities and plan the day and week to maximize results
  • Track you sales behaviors and activities as well as results
  • Sell top of the line products and services on value, not price
  • We expect to see strong activities (in-person, sales calls, quotes, presentations) within sixty days to ensure future bookings.  Only experienced consultative sales people need apply.  Expect first year sales targets of $2,500,000 and a closure rate of 50%+.  Attractive work environment, leadership structure and benefits to top performers.

The ideal candidate has experience selling HVAC related products or services to the industrial and commercial marketplace.  Additionally, the candidate will possess the following: 

  • An undergraduate degrees (at a minimum), preferably in an engineering discipline
  • LEED Certification a plus as is an engineering degree or license
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
  • The ability to start closing deals within sixty days
  • Knows how to position favorable specs and RFPs
  • An understanding of commissioning sales in the construction industry
  • Can handle tough minded construction negotiations
  • A strong work ethic and the design to achieve higher levels on income
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with both clients and teammates
  • The ability to flourish in a highly goal-oriented environment
  • A demonstrated track record of a 50%+ closure rate
  • Team player
  • Knows the importance of account management and "customers for life"
