1.  Commissioning
During the design and construction phase, our Commissioning group works with building owners, construction management firms and architects to ensure HVAC and site utility systems are designed, installed and started-up correctly.  Commissioning work begins in the design phase with the review of the design intent documents to make sure the systems design will indeed meet the occupants needs.  Then during installation and start-up, commissioning engineers inspect and validate to ensure the HVAC and utility systems function properly.  At this time, facility management consulting engineers develop a long-term maintenance and operations plan to ensure a long and healthy life for the building.

2.  Building Turnover
The first step in the maintenance and ongoing operations phase is to make sure the building maintenance personnel have the proper training and operations manuals to keep the building running smoothly.  Our Operations and Maintenance group develops training programs and operation manuals based on actual equipment, rather than relying on manufacturer's manuals or design drawings.  The end result is a maintenance program that is customized for the facility and provides the staff with more detailed information for repairs and maintenance.

3.  Retro-Commissioning
Our Field Engineering group troubleshoots and retro-commissions existing HVAC and utility systems and equipment.  Our "hands-on" field engineers do not rely on design drawings or assumptions to troubleshoot a problem.  They actually perform tests on the equipment to find the root cause.  Because of this, they often find the problem can be fixed with a minor repair rather than a huge capital expenditure. 

4.  Demand Side
Our Energy Engineers offer energy usage enhancement recommendations based on extensive experience with energy consumption, pricing trends, tariffs and usage pattern evaluation.  We can analyze your energy bills and monitor your usage patterns to develop an energy consumption plan that works for you.  Energy modeling and energy audits can help figure out where energy is going used and how best to conserve.

5.  Supply Side
As Energy Advisors, we enable our customers to secure the lowest price available in the market and make the most appropriate energy procurement decisions.  Our customers work with a team of procurement experts throughout the entire procurement cycle, from RFP design to contract administration.  Our customers benefit from our experience in identifying natural gas and electric market opportunities, aggregating customers, developing price-to-compare benchmarks, designing RFPs, soliciting pricing, analyzing results and providing advice on contract terms and conditions.  For certain customers, a dynamic real-time and on-line reverse auction is the ideal solution, where natural gas and electricity suppliers aggressively bid against each other to lower the price you receive, often to levels below what you would have otherwise seen.
