Project Details:
A globally leader is vascular disease management, Cordis Corporation needed to acquire additional office spec to support their quickly expanding research department.  After reviewing many different properties, they thought they had found a suitable location.

Although the research staff at Cordis was very interested in leasing the subject property due to its layout and configuration as a research laboratory, the facilities staff had concerns over the state of the facility.  As the subject building was constructed dint he 1950's, they were worried that the mechanical equipment would not function effectively.

A decision had to be made quickly, so Cordis contacted Day 2 Services to conduct a visual assessment of the facility.  Day 2 Services's combined knowledge of pharmaceutical operational requirements and general facilities engineering ensured that they could provide Cordis with a recommendation that would meet both facility engineering and business goals.  Day 2 Service's primary intent was to keep Cordis from making unnecessary and costly renovations and upgrades.

During their visual assessment of the facility, Day 2 Services checked the building from the roof to the foundation and evaluated the existing infrastructure to determine whether or not it was suitable for Cordis.  All issues were recorded and photographed and a report was prepared based on the visual inspection.  The report was delivered two days after the inspection in order to meet Cordis's stringent deadlines.

The results of their facility assessment concluded that the building was not suitable for Cordis without extensive renovation and equipment upgrades.  This information convinced the research staff to continue their search for new research laboratory space.
