Project Details:
After completing a successful expansion project to their main regional data center, the client's building operations team realized that a more detailed Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual was required to assure maximum reliability and uptime of the data center.  The turn over package was in accordance with the project specifications; however it did not address the critical needs of the Building Operations.  The client turned to Day 2 Services to develop a more detailed and specific facility maintenance program.

After extensive research, Day 2 Services produced O&M manuals that were specific to the site and the equipment and aligned with the client's operating procedures and staff organization.  These manuals were then used to create a detailed training program to qualify the client's staff as members of the Data Center Response Team (DCRT).

To ensure minimal disruption of the staff, the production of the O&M documentation and associated training programs were completely integrated into the ongoing operations of the site.  By utilizing existing procedures and policies, this program is easily included with the building operations team's existing responsibility's and goals.

The addition of this training program provides a means for measurable progress toward a standard of operational excellences.  The creation of this program demonstrates the commitment of the client's Building Operations to their clients, the data center staff and their end users.
