Day 2 Consulting Services
The construction industry is becoming more and more committed to producing quality facilities. But receiving a quality facility doesn’t ensure that it will continue to function as efficiently and effectively as it did when you first opened your doors.
Day 2 Consulting Services will ensure that your staff knows how to effectively, efficiently and continually maintain your new facility. Ideally initiated during construction, Day 2 Consulting provides a more fluid transition to operations without requiring your staff to take part in time consuming construction activities. Day 2 can be applied retroactively to any facility regardless of what stage it is in.
Training and Documentation
While construction contractors are obligated to provide training and documentation on the maintenance of your facility, this is not their specialty. Our experienced professionals have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that your maintenance staff is thoroughly prepared to keep the building functioning to its fullest potential. Long after construction is complete, proper training and documentation will translate to continued efficiency and future success of your facility.
O&M Manuals and Procedures
The O&M manuals, typically provided by construction contractors, are simply a collection of manufacturers’ literature organized into a large binder. While it is a good start, it provides little guidance to your staff on the new system. Day 2 Services takes this generic data and transforms it into a concise guidebook for the operation and maintenance of your facility. Our O&M manuals address energy efficient operations, safety procedures and maintenance tasks and frequency. It is provided in both a hard copy and electronic formats for rapid retrieval when needed. We provide training and O&M manuals that are specific to your facility and occupant needs and we work with the contractors to ensure you receive all proper system documentation.
Day 2 Consulting Services Include:
- O&M Manual
- CMMS Data Collection
- Structured and Coordinated Labeling
- Lock Out/ Tag Out Program
- Staff Training and Planning

- Service Contracts
By planning and preparing for facility operation maintenance during the design and construction phase, you are making a minor investment that greatly reduces your ongoing operation costs and extends the life of your building.
