Hands-On Engineering
A Dome-Tech engineer is a unique combination of field experience and practical knowledge. We find this combination of industry knowledge with a hands-on approach allows us to provide our clients with the best of both worlds. And we always make sure our engineers have the tools they need to get the job done right.
Practical Experience
Dome-Tech’s world-class team of veteran field engineers draws from a broad range of engineering experience including electrical, testing, adjusting and balancing, site utilities, air systems, controls and building management systems. All of our engineers have field engineering and/or construction management experience and over 90% of our staff are degreed engineers.
Field Testing
Our engineers pride themselves on being “hands-on.” We aren’t content to simply review documents or designs, but want to see the equipment for ourselves. Because of this, our recommendations are based on actual experiences, not anticipated results. Many other engineering firms cut corners by reviewing “as-built” documents rather than testing the equipment. This can produce false results that can influence recommendations given and ultimately lead to an incorrect decision.
Full Equipment Inventory
Unlike the majority of engineering firms, Dome-Tech owns a full inventory of NIST traceable equipment. Our equipment allows us to take full responsibility for verification, testing and balancing of utility and HVAC systems. We don’t have to rely on subcontractors or technicians to complete these tasks, so we know we get the right information the first time around. And part of Dome-Tech’s orientation program for new field engineers includes learning how to correctly utilize this equipment. With the right information, the right decision is easier to make.
