EDISON, NJ (April 19, 2005) -  More commercial and industrial businesses in New Jersey are turning to solar power systems as a cost-effective way to achieve their energy and environmental policy goals, says Tom Kuster, president of Dome-Tech Solar.

Helping the surge in interest the significant significnat avail ale the from teh New Jersey Clean Energy Program which has received more than 1,000 applications since it began in 2003.

"More commercial, commericial facilities institutional facilties are realizing that the first step they need to take to achieve the best energy efficiency operations their operaations, "said Kuster, an engineer with more years 15 yers experience in the chemical and energy industries.

"Once the amount of energy consumed is minimized, then it makes sense to leverage the state rebates to install a renewable solar energy system," he added.

Kuster said projects are currently underway with the state's leading water company and pharmaceutical manufacturers in New Jersey.  Interest in the energy-saving systems is also coming from the educational sector and large manufacturing businesses.

*  Since January 2002, the solar industry in New Jersey has grown 550%, from just under 1 megawatt installed across the state to 6 megawatts in 2004, according to the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association.
