Press Release: Dome-Tech Joins world energy partner program, closes first auction with major insurance carrier
May 15, 2006 (Worcester, MA) -- World Energy is pleased to announce that the Dome-Tech Group is the latest firm to join World Energy's Channel Partner Program.
Dome-Tech, based in Edison, NJ, develops and builds on-site renewable and clean power systems and delivers hands-on energy conservation services for energy intensive companies and institutions. Under its participation as a World Energy Channel Partner, Dome-Tech will utilize the World Energy Exchange online reverse auction platform to assist its customers in securing low-cost energy supplies, with a specific focus on energy conservation. The company primarily focused its operations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, but is expanding its footprint nationally.
Ed Liberty, President of Dome-Tech Energy Advisor's, said, "Use of World Energy's online reverse auction enables us to bring something new and innovative to the table for our customers - they see immediate value when they use the web-based auction platform."
Dome-Tech first used World Energy Exchange on April 4 to procure more than 30 million kilowatt hours of electric supply for a major insurance carrier's one-million-square-foot office and data center.
"During the last minute of the auction, our customer was able to see the price continually go lower, and well below the price they were bid through an earlier paper-driven process from their incumbent supplier. It was a real eye opener; the process is brutally efficient," said Liberty.
Liberty said that Dome-Tech is a hands-on firm that is all about energy conservation. "Helping our customers secure low-cost energy supply is a natural extension of our business. World Energy provides an excellent product and service to help our customers to slow the meter down," he said.
John Charbonneau, World Energy Vice President, said, " Dome-Tech's participation in the Channel Partner Program brings a new type of provider - one who is hands-on in the demand side, conservation and "green" energy end of the business. They are continually looking at ways to bring value to their customers and we are pleased to have them as a member of our channel team."
World Energy's Channel Partner Program is intended to support all players in the market by tapping into retail energy's leading e-procurement solution - the Wold Energy Exchange. Depending upon the relationship structure, Program Partners may gain access to a branded solution, where World Energy functions as back office support to the execution of procurements with its staff of market directors and market analysts. Partners also have access to an entire suite of tools for supplier management, receivables tracking and commission reporting.
